About Highpoint

Faith, family, and a love for the Georgia outdoors

Our Story

Highpoint Quail Hunting Preserve is a family-owned, 220-acre quail hunting preserve in Bowdon, Georgia (Carroll County), founded by Gabe Robinson in 2014. We host guided and unguided quail and pheasant hunts about one hour west of Atlanta, roughly five miles off I-20 at Exit 5, with trained bird dogs and a welcoming first-timer-friendly approach.

Highpoint Quail Hunting Preserve was founded in 2014 by Gabe Robinson with a simple vision: to provide a premier quail hunting experience grounded in faith, respect for the land, and a love for the great Georgia outdoors. What began as a dream has grown into one of Carroll County's most welcoming shooting preserves.

Located at 1800 Highpoint Road in Bowdon, Georgia, our preserve sits in the heart of Carroll County — about one hour west of Atlanta and roughly five miles off I-20 at Exit 5. Its convenient location makes it an easy destination for hunters coming from across the metro area and the broader Southeast.

The Land

Our 220-acre preserve is a testament to thoughtful land stewardship. The property features a beautiful mix of plantation-thinned pine stands, open agricultural fields, hardwood creek bottoms, and gently rolling terrain — precisely the kind of diverse habitat that bobwhite quail thrive in. Walking the grounds of Highpoint, you are surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of classic Georgia hunting country.

We take great pride in maintaining our land so that every hunter — whether stepping onto a shooting preserve for the first time or returning for their tenth season — has an authentic, enjoyable experience. The rolling topography adds challenge and character to every hunt, and the variety of cover types means every outing feels fresh.

Your Hunt, Your Way

Choose the day that fits you. Book a guided hunt and a knowledgeable handler with well-trained dogs leads the way — ideal if you're a first-timer, a family, or a corporate group that wants to focus on shooting and enjoying the day. Prefer to roam on your own? An unguided hunt gives you the freedom to work 220 acres at your own pace.

Packages are available in half-day and full-day options and can accommodate groups of one to three shooters, with additional shooter pricing available. We also offer pheasant alongside our signature quail, as well as add-on bird cleaning to make taking your harvest home as easy as possible. We also occasionally have trained bird dogs available for sale.

Faith & Values

Our tagline — "Glory Be To The Father" — is not just words. It reflects the foundation upon which Highpoint was built. We believe that time spent in God's creation, whether hunting with old friends or introducing a child to the outdoors for the first time, is a gift. We strive to conduct our business with honesty, hospitality, and gratitude.
